Giving you the confidence you need to flash an amazing smile, both during treatment and after. Our system of ceramic braces are more effective at treating patients with extreme overcrowding, extreme spacing, overbites, underbites, and deepbites than traditional ceramic braces.

The 3M Clarity Advanced™ brace is injection molded from a fine-grained glass resulting in smooth, curved features for increased patient comfort. The translucent ceramic material blends with the color of your teeth and will resist staining or discoloration throughout your treatment. And with its small, low-profile design, our ceramic braces are virtually unnoticeable, making them perfect for patients of any age who are looking for the confidence and the freedom to smile on any occasion.

Due to the efficiency and durability of our ceramic braces system patients are able to go 6-10 weeks between appointments, and less than 1% of braces ever come loose from the tooth. This efficiency and shorter time in treatment results in less expensive and more affordable treatment options for the patient.

How do Ceramic or Clear Braces go on?

Ceramic or clear braces go onto the teeth the same way as metal braces. Our unique bonding system to place the braces onto the teeth results in less than 1% of braces ever coming loose. The day you get your braces on, our team will use cheek stretchers (think the game Speak Out™) to keep your lips and cheeks away from your teeth. Next we will use a special tooth shampoo and conditioner to get your teeth super clean. Finally our unique braces system has the brace’s glue built into the base of the brace allowing for fast and easy placement. The total time it takes to get your braces on is less than 30 min!

When to choose Ceramic or Clear Braces?

Our Clarity Advanced™ Ceramic Braces System solves the problems traditional ceramic or clear braces have. No longer does the brace stain over time or break if hit during sports. Due to the poly-crystalline structure of the Clarity Advanced™ brace it remains perfectly clear throughout treatment and is nearly as durable as a metal brace.

Our ceramic braces system is extremely effective at treating patients with extreme overcrowding, extreme spacing, overbites, underbites, and deepbites. This efficiency often results in shorter overall treatment times, 12 – 18 months, and fewer appointments, 8 – 12 appointments. With our unique ceramic braces system the patient has the option to pick clear ties, or to show off their personality by choosing from 26 exciting colors such as Screaming Pink and Radical Red.

Our ceramic braces are also an extremely affordable treatment option. Although ceramic braces can be more expensive (at some offices), at Knapp Orthodontics they are not! You no longer have to choose between clear and metal!

How to clean and brush Ceramic or Clear Braces?

There is no sense in having an amazing smile that is full of cavities. That is why we take the time to train each patient on proper brushing and oral hygiene the day their braces go on. Each patient is given an oral hygiene kit with special brushes and tools to keep their braces clean throughout treatment. Some of the fun tools our patients use are Platypus™ Orthodontic Flossers for easy flossing with braces, and “Christmas Tree” brushes for getting between braces.
